Users may also work with multiple data-sources at once, each with it's own data presented in separate panels - ideal where publications are produced with data from a variety of sources. The launch of EasyCatalogCS follows the public beta programme that started on April 19. "We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who downloaded the public beta version of the software and helped by reporting problems, and offering suggestions on how EasyCatalogCS could be improved," said Ian White, Director of 65bit Software. "We received tremendous feedback, and hopefully we have managed to include many of the ideas suggested by our beta testers." "EasyCatalogCS is not just an InDesign CS version of our InDesign 2 product - we took to opportunity to includes features that further extend EasyCatalogCS' ability to paginate large quantities of data." "EasyCatalogCS is now able to make simple design decisions as the data is flowed in - all products in a defined price band could be displayed differently to other products for instance. If your source data contains information, such as a style code, this can also be used to determine how the data should appear in the document." EasyCatalogCS is available immediately for InDesign CS on Macintosh and Windows, and a free 15-day unlimited evaluation version is available on the 65bit website, www.65bit.com.
