EasyCatalog CS2 2.1.4 for InDesign CS2
New Features:
EasyCatalog
Pagination
- Guide-based and Flow-based pagination only
A new Pagination Rule - 'Usage' - is now available that determines when, within the parent group, the Product Style should be used.
- Guide-based pagination only
Added new pagination attribute - 'Continuation'. This allows Product Styles to be defined that will be used when pagination of a group continues onto a new page and can be used, for example, for styles that contain a continuation header.
- Added 'positioningroup' field to actions, which returns a 1-based index number of the record/group within the parent group. For example {positioningroup} can now be used as a field in the action statement to determine a record or group's position within its parent group.
- Added new fitting option - 'Frame Depth to Field Depth'. This allows the contents of another field for the record to be used to adjust the depth of the image frame. Specify the field to use in the 'Field Name' attribute. The measurement system to use can also appear in the content of the field, and can be specified in the 'Suffix' field option if necessary.
- Guide-based pagination only
Added new fitting option - 'Grow and Flow'. This attribute will resize a text box vertically, constrained to the bottom margin of the page. If text in the box is still overset, a new Product Style will be placed at the start of the following page with the 'Grow and Flow' box from the first page linked to the 'Grow and Flow' box on the second page.
Bug Fixes:
EasyCatalog
- Fixes problem where drop shadows applied to picture content would be randomly offset when field marker/field specifier was applied to a frame.
- Fixes bug where 'character style sheets missing' message would appear when inserting into an existing table using a table selection
- German Localization only:
Fixes problem where some messages would appear with '\n' instead of a new-line character.
- Fixes bug in 'Ignore White Space' changes. White space at the end of the data field would cause fields to be shown as 'in error' after a Synchronize with Document operation.
- Windows only:
Fixes euro symbol not displaying correctly in Field Options.
- Fixes Copy and Repeat problem where anchored images would not be populated within tables
- When updating pictures on the document using 'Update Document'All' or 'Update Document'With Panel Selection', only pictures for the selected data source will be updated.
Pagination Module
- Guide-based Pagination
Fixes bug that would allow Product Styles to be placed within other Product Styles if the design contained large gaps.
- Fixes crash when ungroup was applied to the outermost group-box in a Product Style.
- Fixes problem where 'Fit Content to Frame' for text would ignore the maximum and minimum and settings specified in the Pagination Rules panel. These settings specify percentages relative to the point size of the text in the box. For example, if the box contains a 12pt Field Specifier with a minumum percentage of 50% and a maximum percentage of 200%, the text would be allowed to scale between 6pt and 24pt.
- Positional Pagination Only
- Fixes problem where positional pagination would place first item in group multiple times.
- Fixes a problem where group library item would not be chosen when paginating groups.
- Guide-based pagination only
Fixes potential crash when all product styles are excluded due to ignore actions.
