0xe0a00001 error when trying to activate

Activation failed because an error occurred. Please contact your vendor for further advice, quoting the following error. An internal error occurred. (0xe0a00001)

This error is usually caused by a network issue, the manual activation wizard can be used as an alternative method of activation:

  • Press the “Activate” button on the “About EasyCatalog” dialog
  • Enter the serial number
  • Hold down the Shift and Ctrl key whilst pressing the “Activate” button
  • This should show a ‘Manual Activation Wizard’ which will allow you to activate using a web browser on your machine. Select this option and work through the on-screen instructions
