To uniquely identify a field, EasyCatalog uses a combination of:
- data source name
- field name
- key field value
Therefore, it is important that every column in your source data has a name. If you’re receiving a “Data cannot be loaded because blank field names were found” error, ensure that every column in your data has a name. When exporting a spreadsheet from Excel as a tab or comma delimited file, occasionally a populated cell that is outside of the data area of the sheet can cause empty columns to be exported. Try copying the populated area of the spreadsheet to a new spreadsheet, save it and then try to load it again in EasyCatalog.
