Removing EasyCatalog’s License File

Occasionally it may be necessary to remove EasyCatalog’s licensing information from your installation.  Once complete, EasyCatalog will need to be re-activated on this machine.

EasyCatalog stores your license information in one or both of the following locations:

Macintosh

Inside of the InDesign Package

  • Quit InDesign
  • Right click on the InDesign application icon and use the “Show Package Contents” option
  • Navigate to the “Contents > MacOS” folder
  • Inside of this folder will be a file called “65bit Serial Numbers” which can be deleted.

Inside of your local preferences folder

  • Quit InDesign
  • In Finder, hold down the Alt key and use the “Go > Library” menu option
  • Navigate to the “Preferences > 65bit Software” folder
  • Inside of this folder will be a “Serial Numbers” file for each version of EasyCatalog you’ve activated. These files can be deleted.

Windows

Inside of the InDesign Application Folder

  • Quit InDesign
  • Inside of the InDesign application folder may be a file called “65bit Serial Numbers”, which can be deleted.  Typically your InDesign application will be installed at a location similar to:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CC 2019

Inside of the Roaming Data Folder

  • Quit InDesign
  • The location of your Roaming Data folder can vary slightly depending on the version of Windows you’re running.  Typically it will be at:
    C:\Users\{your user name}\AppData\Roaming\65bit Software
  • Inside of this folder will be a serial numbers file for each version of EasyCatalog you’ve activated, which can be removed.
