How do I retrieve an XML file from a URL?

  1. Navigate to ‘File > New > EasyCatalog Panel > New XML Data Source’; this will open up the ‘Data Source Configuration’ dialog.
  2. In this dialog there will be a drop down next to ‘Source:’ that is set to ‘File’ by default. Select ‘URL’ from this drop down menu.
  3. Enter the URL of the XML file and hit ‘Retrieve’; the fields should now be able to be setup using XPath.

If the XML file needs to be updated from EasyCatalog select the ‘Options…’ button to the left of the ‘Retrieve’ button. This will open up a new dialog that allows an upload URL, HTTP login credentials and HTTP Proxy to be specified.
