The EasyCatalog Pagination Module allows you to paginate hundreds or thousands of records in a single click.
Offering five powerful pagination methods, the Pagination Module is perfect for data-driven publications — projects where the content itself determines what appears, where it appears, and how it’s styled.
Create configurable templates, known as Product Styles, to define how your data should look. EasyCatalog will place these automatically, and the correct Product Style can even be chosen at pagination time based on indicators within your data — ideal when your dataset includes a “style” field. You can also assign Product Styles to groups, letting you automatically generate elements such as section headers.
The order of your records is controlled directly from the EasyCatalog panel. Use sorting, filtering, and grouping tools to create the exact sequence you want to paginate.
Flow-based Pagination
Best for continuously flowing content such as directories. Product Styles are placed into a standard InDesign text frame, allowing the layout to reflow automatically if data changes or if extra content is added after pagination.
Guide-based Pagination
Ideal for structured, grid-style layouts. Product Styles are positioned precisely at the intersections of page guides, giving a controlled and predictable layout.
Positional Pagination
Perfect when your data already includes placement details, such as page number plus X/Y coordinates. EasyCatalog uses these values to position each Product Style exactly where it belongs.
Parent Pages Pagination
Instead of using a Library, this method relies on Product Styles already positioned on parent pages. Your data can even decide which parent page to use, making it fast to paginate documents with multiple standard layouts.
Template-based Pagination
Designed for generating multiple documents or PDFs from your data. Build a template with placeholders, and Template-based Pagination will output fully populated versions automatically. You can define multiple templates, with the data choosing which one to use at pagination time.
